Idukki Association Kuwait (IAK) conducted Christmas- New Year Celebration and farewell to Association founder President Mr.Joy Mundakkatt and his wife Captain Mrs.Rose Francis on 12thJanuary 2019 at United Indian School Jaleeb Al Shuyokh.
Indian Doctors Form Ex-President Dr.Amir Ahmed inaugurated the program. General Secretary Mr.Jose Thomas welcomed the gathering. President Mr.Sunil Kumar, in his presidential address, referred to the ongoing IAK housing Project, which is aimed to construct maximum new houses for the people who lost their houses in the flood hit Kerala last year, as part of IAK’s continued flood relief activities. Association Patron and Idukki M.P. Adv. Joyce George inaugurated the construction of first house last month and the construction of second house will start in nearby days. Also, he appreciated IAK for its various humanitarian activities , including the medical aid of one lakh rupees distributed in the recent days, in Idukki district. .
Vanitha Vedi Chairperson Mrs.Shamla Biju delivered farewell speech. A farewell memento was presented to Mr.Joy Mundakkattu and his wife. Vice President Mr.Tom Edayodi, members of Lok Kerala Sabha and many well-known socio-cultural and business personalities felicitated the meeting. Mr.Joy Mundakkat and his wife expressed hearty thanks to Association for the warm farewell. The meeting winded up with Vote of Thanks by Treasurer Mr.Bijoy Kurian.
Musical program by renowned music band D’elites and many cultural programs such as dances, kolkkali, Christmas Carole etc.. colored the celebration.
