Indian nationals passed away when a tank exploded in Mina Abdullah yesterday. The deceased is identified as Sumit Abraham, hails from Kollam in Kerala. He was 38 year old. He was working with Gulf Spic Company for a KOC project and teh incident occurred while repairing the vacuum tanker.

Five other people who were injured in during teh incident are admitted to the ICU of Al Adan hospital.

Sumit left behind his wife Sumi, who is working for Central point - Max and three year old daughter Stefi.

Safe Work Practices must be followed all the time and at any cost. Some managers have the mentality that HSE is a non productive department and it always affect work progress. And workers just follow HSE out of force from the HSE staff only and not from the management. MONEY is not everything. Now think of his family!!! What wrong did they do to get such tragic loss? Nothing!!!. They why they should get all this? If the deceased had at least thought of his family once before coming to site and realise that he must live for his family this thing wouldn''t have happen. HSE is important!!!!!! Please take it seriously and give top priority to it.
