ICSK-Khaitan Celebrated Gandhi Jayanti

‘Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.’

In a world, torn apart by violence, terrorism, unhealthy competition, degradation of moral values and culture, escalation of materialism and degeneration of humanity, we seek love, peace, tranquility, human dignity and revival of our glorious past laden with values and ethics. What better reasons are there to remember Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, the father of our nation, a great leader, an immortal soul who taught the world how to win a war in peace. Marking the 149th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a special assembly was organized by the students of ICSK Khaitan. The assembly was a tribute to Gandhiji, with an eloquent thought that emphasized the importance of non-violence. The skit presented by the children showcased the value of honesty and sincerity that Bapu upheld in his life.

Both the songs ‘Vaishnav janatho…’ and ‘Ragupati ragav raja ram…’ presented by the children left the audience with an ease of patriotism in their mind. In his address the principal shared his own views on peace and non-violence, which inspired our young minds. He also praised the students for conducting such a thought provoking assembly and persuaded them to follow the moral values and principles of Gandhiji in order to be a better citizen of India. Gandhiji’s ideas on non-violence have charmed the world and are believed to work wonder in uprooting the seeds of hatred and violence from the society, he added.

Since it is an inherent feature of every human to forget and neglect such legendary lives, often it is to be polished on such occasions to ignite our spirit and convey their great teachings to the new generation.
