Seminar on Life Management with Colours of Life by Crawford Wilson D

Last Friday we had the opportunity to attend 5th Dinkar Divas Celebration by Maurya Kala Parisar 2018. The day turned into a memorable one.

In the same league, i was looking forward to do something exciting this weekend again. Turned out, there was a seminar being held at Gurukul, a place near to my house, on life management. What can i say? Problem solved.

The event was titled as Free seminar on Life Management with Colours of Life by Crawford Wilson D'souza. Let me put its motto as it was mentioned:

Are you living a Stress life?Are you struggling to convert your dreams into reality? are you struggling to develop work and family life balance? Do you want to know the purpose of your life? This seminar will help you program your mind for success, discover the beautiful landscape called life through colours of life, master your mind and achieve all your goals and understand the purpose of your life.

Mr. Wilson is a motivational speaker, certified mind trainer, life coach and Corporate coach.

The description looked interesting. i decided to explore.

I reached at the venue fifteen minutes before the scheduled time. Slowly, people started to pour in giving the hint of interest generated by the advertisement. Finally the seminar took off with a pre-prepared introduction on the speaker. About five minutes later, Mr. Wilson arrived and immediately got down to business lifting an Aladdin lamp in his hands from the table. Deftly he explained how the golden lamp is the resemblance to our conscious mind and the genie living inside it is the sub-conscious. Conscious mind possesses 10% power whereas the sub-conscious holds 90%. If we can somehow train our conscious mind to command the sub-conscious mind rightfully then we can bring that unexplored mysterious 90% power in action, however, it's easier said than done.

Good start, ain't it?

He then navigated his audience on identifying the ultimate goal of life. It's not the money neither power, name or fame. It's Happiness. Diving deeper into the subject, he put forward a step-by-step guide on how to achieve this particular goal in 2 steps:

* Achieving positive goals

* Helping others

Since i can not put the entire 1.5 hours of the event verbatim here, i can surely highlight the keys i managed to take away on my diary.

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success - One of the quotes from the presentation.

Mr. Wilson also talked on inspirational/spiritual books he has delved in so far. One of them is 'Spring of Inspiration' by Jitendra Adhia. He also reflected his personal wisdom on Colors of Light as well as Paradigm Shift (an event that alters the direction of your life altogether). The latter, if i speak frankly, was intriguing to listen to.

Completely aware of what he is talking about, he then carved another virtual path of 4 steps to achieve happiness:

* Introspection

* Plan your life

* Make holistic goals

* Take action

1. In Introspection, he advised on taking us a pause from the daily rush and allow ourselves to reflect on the life as a whole picture. Taking a bird's eye view of our life can actually help to realize many things we wish.

2. Plan your life, as the title says for itself, was about planning the life. Mr. Wilson said that we plan our holiday destinations but forget to plan the biggest journey called life. Balance is the key to fructify introspect and plan.

3. By making holistic goals we can define true happiness. For example, when a doctor's focus turns completely onto healing and treating his patients, and not on the money, the goal becomes holistic.

4. We must take actions to fructify the whole planning. Connecting in this thread, he showed an excerpt from the movie-now-turned--book The Secret. The footage explained Law of Attraction and how it works. Right at this point, Mr. Wilson introduced the concept of creating Vision Board. Vision Board got me even more attentive as i could feel it might be something worth doing.

Vision Board is a place where you pin/organize your dreams/goals. Be it either your dream car, dream job, office, home, a holiday destination, joining a prestige club, be an athlete...Vision Board is the space where you keep your goals together. The underlying concept is that seeing those goals regularly attracts them towards you, and not only you towards them. Using Law of Attraction, Vision Board can actually help you achieve the dreams you've been visualizing in your head only.

I could totally relate to this. Putting dreams up front and/or writing about them actually help!

I loved the beauty of creating Vision Board.

He also got us do two minutes full of Relaxation and Meditation. It's something useful i already know but the moment i close my eyes, horror scenes from all the movies i have seen so far behind the curtain of my palms start to surface. Therefore, despite of being an ardent fan of meditation, it's hard for me to do it but i did it successfully in this event where i had the support of many people.

He also emphasized on Believing and Achieving. Once again, i could completely relate to this latest example being my latest book - The Shadow of Darkness. Despite of number of hurdles coming my way, finally i got it turned into a published book and today, i look at it with pride. Readers too have been praising it for its bold theme, Childhood trauma, told beautifully through a fiction story.

By the time this session ended, i had already decided to make a personal acquaintance with Mr. Wilson about the session. i approached with a bit of my introduction and expressed how much i loved the session. i also spoke of my idea to write a blog post on this event to which he agreed gladly. He also posed with me on my request.

On the way in my car, i went through the session in my head once again. There were a few things to ponder about and work on. i am glad my decision to do something exciting this weekend had taken me into right direction.

I'd like to end this post by Mr. Wilson's message which he gave for my blog readers:

Do not focus on bank balance. Try to focus on life balance.

So? What do you think? Shall we start doing it?

------------------------------

If the details of this event has got you willing enough to know more about it, you can join Mr. Wilson in his endeavor to help people find happiness and the true meaning of their lives by attending two days workshops coming this weekend i.e. Oct 12 - Oct. 13th 2018.
