Indoor Picnic and Food Fest of Kuwait Kannada Koota

Kuwait Kannada Koota, KKK as it is popularly called, is a cultural organization of Karnataka in Kuwait. The organization has the sole moto of promoting and showcasing in Kuwait the Indian cultural richness and Karnataka culture, also participates by generously donating for social welfare activities in India and Karnataka. American International School, Kuwait, witnessed one of the annual activities of KKK, the indoor picnic and sports event named as "Sogasaata Saviyoota" meaning refreshing sports and taste teasing foods on the 21st of September 2018.

Inaugurating the event Shri. Prabhakar Basavaraju, the president of KKK-2018 welcomed and encouraged the enthusiastic members and kids of Koota to take part in the event. Shri Tharendra Shettigar, the vice president shouldered the responsibility of overseeing the whole event. The secretary of the Koota Shri. Kiran Renukaradhya was in-charge of all the logistic and requirements for the event. Shri Ananthashayana Dambal, treasurer of KKK took control of financial needs for the event and material requirement for the food festival.

The dynamic Sports Committee of KKK lead by Shri Ratnakar Shetty took the responsibility of conducting the sports and games event supported by four-house captains. The house captains also led four sections of the food mela with the all-ladies team of Smt Sujaya Shetty heading the "Kairuchi-Chat" section, Rashmitha Shetty taking lead of "Karavali Khanavali", Spoorthy Kamat commanding the Bangalore-Mysore teaser "Aramane Authana" and Madhuri Katti controlling the North Karnataka tasters "Nammora Aduge Mane" All these four sections proved that the "Saviyoota" was making members to tell "Eh Dil Mange more"

As a part of the event, carrom, chess and table tennis competitions were held on the following Friday, the 28th September at the “Salmiya Play School” as team events and the executive committee thanked all the members and kids for a huge support and participation in the games. The Sports event was sponsored by M/S Enagic Co. Japan which was represented by Mr Manimaran. He also gave a short presentation on the healthy water purifier which was well appreciated by the Koota members. The Koota and Executive Committee extended their gratitude to Mr Manimaran for sponsoring the event.

The Public Relations committee lead by Smt Sangeetha Magalagi took special interest in the publicity and awareness about the event. The public address system, recording and photography were efficiently managed by Dr Yogeesh, Shri Satish Bhat and Shri Satisha. Shri Parveen Kumar and Shri Prabhu Achar meticulously conducted the sports events. The event photographs were colorfully and very aptly documented by ever-helping member, Shri.Azad Ismail & Shri Vikram Kunjibettu. Many Koota members helped and cooperated by extending material and logistic support for the successful conduct of the event. With the cooperation of ex-presidents, support from volunteers, members and all committees; the program was concluded after a mouth-watering dinner.
