Gems grace Writers’ Forum meeting

On the evening of 21 September 2018, at the residence of Ms. Madhulika Mohta, the monthly meeting of the Writers’ Forum, Kuwait was presided over by noted Oddiya poet—Tushar Mishra.

Dr. Abhay Patwari Chougle the President of Indian Doctors Forum and Ms. Parul Chaturvedi; the author of two Hindi poetry books were the Chief Guests.

Mr. Rishabh Jain, President of Arihant Social Group and renowned Hindi poet Dr. Kamlesh ‘Vasant’ who is on visit to Kuwait also graced the occasion.

At the outset, the President of the Forum, Ms. Maimuna Chougle informed and discussed with members the plan of celebrating 150th birthday Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi ji.

The further proceedings of the meeting comprised of two sessions: Article / Story session and the Poetry Session.

In the first session, Ms. Chhaya Athavale read her an article in Marathi. This was based on her
feeling on proper upbringing of children so as to make them successful human being. This was followed by members’ views on the direction of writer’s thoughts.

During the second session, members recited their poems / compositions in varied Indian languages. Dr. Radhika Bhardwaj, Umesh Sharma, Aamir Diwan, Ms. Madhulika Mohta & the guest poet Dr. Kamlesh Vasant in Hindi, Ms. Preeti Rajgolikat in Sanskrit, Ms. Chhaya Athavale in Marathi and Saeed Nazar Kadpavi read this poetry poetry in Urdu.

In conclusion, the Chief Guest Dr. Abhay Patwari appreciated and praised the work done by the Forum which involves bringing together writers and poets from different Indian languages on one single platform.

Ms. Parul Chaturvedi, also a Chief Guest, presented her Hindi poetry from her pre published book which received a heart-warming applause from the listeners followed by her views & her keen desire to join the WFK as regular member.

Tushar Mishra; the President of the evening, after his Presidential address, presented his Oddiya poetry which stirring the hearts with his wonderful renditions.

Milind Rajgolikar, Rajiv Athavale and Shabbih Ahmed also graced the evening with their benign presence
All the members and guests thanked Ms. Madhulika Mohta for the warm hospitality.
