Three-month visit visa for wife and children

Tuesday, September 18, 2018

The Assistant Undersecretary for Nationality and Passports at the Ministry of Interior, Major-General Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf has issued a circular according to which the visit visa for wife and children will be valid for three months instead of one.

The new instructions were issued last Thursday and came into force on Sept 16. The decision was issued taking into consideration the humanitarian factor and allow wife and children to spend more time with husband/father which will also have a positive impact on the local market.

Local reports said that any expatriate who had applied for a visit visa and was granted one month can submit a new application and get the new visit visa for three months. There is no change in duration of the rest of the visit visas.

I have a question, if anybody can answer. I need to apply for a visit visa only for my daughter (she is in 10th) with out the mother accompanying her.
Will they issue a visa only for child ? Please clarify if anyone has a idea. Thank you.

It was a great news from thousands of expatriate families who can not afford to keep the family permanently because of high cost of living here in Kuwait. At least now they can keep them for three months at a stretch. Our heartfelt thanks to our Assistant Undersecretary for Nationality and Passports at the Ministry of Interior, Major-General Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf for the kind gesture.
Thank you.
