Thursday, June 14, 2018

Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced yesterday the formation of three inspecting teams to regulate and follow up on goods prices in all markets during Eid Al-Fitr. Each team
includes 30 inspectors who cover all governorates in the country to ensure availability of various kinds of goods in all markets and control their prices coinciding with the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr, said the Control and Consumer Protection Sector at the Ministry in a statement.

The ministry is keen to prevent the exploitation of consumers and to ensure abiding market regulations and applicable laws in force, the statement added. The ministry called on consumers to report any commercial fraud or non-compliance with the rules and regulations in force through Hotline 135, stressing the continuation of the inspection campaigns and reception of complaints and taking appropriate action in accordance with the laws.
