'Shubhashisha' : Merit Evining Bhavans,Kuwait

Indian Educational School, Kuwait munificently constituted an accolade ceremony - ‘SUBHASHISHA’, meaning ‘congratulations and blessings’ in Sanskrit, in the summer evening of June 2, 2018 in the School auditorium to felicitate the brilliant prodigies of Classes XII and X who scored above 90% and 95% marks respectively in the CBSE examination 2018.

The ceremony was graced by the elegant presence of the highfliers, their parents and teachers who proudly relished the brilliance of their academic accomplishment. The chairman of Bhavans Middle East, Mr. N.K Ramachandran Menon, the principal of Indian Educational School, Mr. T. Premkumar, the principal of Smart Indian School, Mr. Mahesh Iyer, the principal of Jack and Jill Mangaf, Mrs. Rathi Ravindran, and the vice principals of Bhavans Kuwait also attended the felicitation ceremony with immense pride and fulfilment.

The teachers welcomed the achievers with rose stems. The stars of Bhavans were honoured and felicitated with mementos for their stellar performance in the CBSE board examinations in the starry evening of June 02. The accolades were given away by Mr. N. K Ramachandran Menon, the chairman, Bhavans Middle East and Mr. T. Premkumar, the principal, Indian Educational School, Kuwait. The spectacular results of Classes XII and X were praised by everyone. The toppers of the Science Stream (Jiya Jose with 96.2%) and the Commerce Stream (Goyal Biju Thadathil with 92.2%) and the topper of Class X Rashmi Ajaykumar Nair with 98.2% were congratulated by the gathering on their fruitful academic accomplishments. The grade 10 and 12 teachers were also lauded for producing excellent results.

The toppers who spoke on the stage emphatically said that it was the strenuous effort of the teachers and the indefatigable support of their parents that enabled them to soar high. The topper of the Computer Science Stream and the second rank holder in the Science Stream, Sanaul Malik Shaheer in his words of gratitude said, “The teachers’ continuous motivation and the words of wisdom were undoubtedly the driving force behind our success.” The auditorium also witnessed poignant outburst of emotions and many an eye was left moist when the students expressed their profound gratitude to their parents and teachers for their unwavering faith and support which enabled them to soar higher.

The parents spoke highly about the dedicated approach of Bhavanites towards achieving excellence. They appreciated Bhavans for staying true to its vision ‘to prepare global citizens’ and acknowledged with gratitude the all-round development they have seen in their wards. The parents reiterated that their decision to entrust their wards to the care of Bhavans has been truly rewarding. They expressed their profound gratitude to the Chairman for sowing the seeds of Bhavans in the Middle East, the Principal for his efficient leadership skills and the teachers for their dedication. Speaking on the occasion, the teachers urged the students to always remember the values they have ingrained at Bhavans which will help them etch a life embellished with values and success.

Mrs. Jaemi Byju, the Head of the Department of English welcomed the gathering and Mr. Suresh V Balakrishnan, the Senior Vice Principal proposed the vote of thanks. The emcees for the day were Mr. E.P. Prasad (Department of English) and Mrs. Freny Abraham. (Department of Physics). The merit evening came to an end with a grand banquet arranged in honour of the stellar achievers.
