Carmel Lights at the end of the Tunnel

The golden sun in all its brilliance shone down on Carmel in this Jubilee year. All praises to Him for the glory bestowed. Our Carmelites achieved yet another feat with a cent percentage score in the Std X Examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) New Delhi.

This batch of 2018 proved resilient and tough, managing to take on the challenge of the entire portion suddenly thrust on them, this being the 1st year of the new system of evaluation.

The elation at the mettle and determination displayed by the students has made their parents and teachers proud. Our Carmel Head Girl, tenacious and multifaceted Neha Elizabeth Thomas leads her fellow Carmelites from the shadows of apprehension to the light of wisdom with a whopping 98%. Close on trail is focused and determined Tanvi Prabha Achanti with 96.2%. Not far behind is Evonne Freya Pinto an unassuming storehouse of potential and diligent Beneeta Maria Thomas with 96%.

Of the 144 students who answered the exam 41 of our luminaries scored 90% and above aggregate.

The subject toppers are as follows:-

English (97%)-Rachel Denise Lobo and Neha Elizabeth Thomas

Mathematics (100%)-Neha Joseph Alapatt

French (100%)-Joel George Moozhil and Neha Elizabeth Thomas

Hindi (98%)-Kashish Rajesh Bhardwaj

Science(99%)-Naina Mary Sebastian and Rhea Ranjith Nair

Social Science (99%) - Neha Elizabeth Thomas

Success is a personal standard reaching for the highest within us and Carmel has done just that-‘EXCELSIOR’.

Kudos to our Carmelites. May these Golden Rays sparkle Diamond over the years.
