Kuwait Tamilosai Poets Association celebrated “Paalai Thamizh Solai Vizhaa!”

Kuwait Tamilosai Poets Association(KTPA) celebrated their 13th year inaugural function as “PAALAI THAMIZH SOLAI VIZHAA!” on 04/05/2018,Friday at “Uzhaippaalar Pukazharankam!”(Royal Auditorium,Mangaf,Kuwait.) in their 145th monthly literary meeting. The function began formally with the recitation of Tamil Anthem around 10 A.M. effectively anchored by custodian committee member Poet Vittukatti Masthan. Then the celebration formally started for the New year inauguration of KTPA with lighting the traditional lamp (“Kuthu Vilakku”) by KTPA’s Lady members followed by Tamil cultural Dance-“The Bharatham” marvelously performed by the Girl Hency Vincia. President Mr.Robert delivered the welcome address along with offering the Association’s Theme song. Mind provoking poems were recited by KTPA’s poets, Mesmerizing Melodies and Folk songs sung in the concert enthralled the Audience. Thoughtful discourses on The May Day and International Nurses Day were delivered by Mr.Aaroor Vasu Ramanathan and Mrs.Josephine Robert respectively.

Dignitaries from various associations and tamil groups offered their well-wishing addresses. To mark the celebration of International Laborers day and KTPA’s anniversary,21 Kuwait living Tamil Individuals were honored with awards for their selfless services to mankind and tireless hard work in Kuwait. Chief Guest-Philanthropist Dr.S.M.Hyder Ali (Chairman,TVS CARGO & TRAVELS International Business Group) and Janab. Delhi Batcha (Proprietor,Al-Shafi Restaurant,Fahaheel,Kuwait) jointly felicitated all the awardees with Mementos. These awardees helped selflessly with dedication,in association with the Indian Embassy for sending back the visa violators to India, as a result of the recently declared amnesty act for the Residency violators by Kuwait earlier this year.

As a part of celebration of World Labors day, a splendid “Court of Poetry in Disguise!” was enacted during the course of the program. This event became the highlight of the function, first of its kind in Kuwait, in which School going kids also came in fancy dress as various essential professionals. The court of Poetry was splendidly presided over by Poet Azhakar Shanmugam(Principal Tamil Tutor of “Maathamizh Marabu Paa Pattarai-Kuwait).He recited for the profession of “Teacher”(disguised by Baby Vidhya Porkuzhali).Poets: Vidhyasagar for “Doctor”(by Master Mukilvannan), Pattukkottai Balu for “Engineer”(by Master Sanjeeva Raman), Dhara for “Soldier”(by Master Jeeva Raman) and Mrs.Jerisha for “Scientist”(by Master Rayyan) amazingly recited their respective poems in style. It created roaring waves of joy and spirit among the gathering. The Poetry skit was scripted and directed by KTPA’s General Secretary Mr.Pattukkottai Sathyan. Special invitees for the Program from India, “Karaikal Pulavar” G.Sarangapani and “Ilaiya Isai Murasu” E.M.Batcha jointly distributed prizes for the participating kids and wished them for bright future. Honorary President Poet S.Sadhiq Batcha explained about KTPA’s Perpetual literary and social welfare activities in his note. Under the able co-ordination of Vice-President Er.Somasundharam, Tamilosai member team comprising Deputy Secretary Mr.Mannai Raja, Lady wing Secretary Mrs.Rumia Justin, Mrs.Vijayapriya Ramanan, Custodian Poet U.K.Sivakumar and Master Paul Iwin efficiently accomplished all the arrangements for the gathering. Treasurer-Poet Shamsuddin delivered the vote of Thanks for the meet. The function came to the end with delicious meals served to all by 3 pm.
