Tamil Community bids farewell to Malathi and Bhaskaran

A farewell for one of the veteran families from the Tamil community in Kuwait Malathi and Bhaskaran was arranged at Udayam restaurant Mangaf on Friday 4th May 2018, which also coincided with their 38th Wedding Anniversary. Near and dear of this young couple who were associated with them for more than a decade through Kuwait Tamil Sangam expressed their fond memories and wished the couple for a happy and peaceful retired life way back in India and Australia. Bhaskaran came to Kuwait way back in 1993 and was on the Executive Committee of the erstwhile Bharathi Kalam Mandram and subsequently the present Kuwait Tamil Sangam and had contributed to the tamil community welfare.

Malathi Bhaskaran joined in 1995 and became a part of Indian Community School in Kuwait since 1997. During these 23 years of service she had helped and supported with a smile whomsoever who had approached her for school admissions, auditorium and other school facilities. She had also served as Vice President of Kuwait Tamil Sangam for one year. Bhaskaran gave an emotional speech about his life in Kuwait and the fond memories he would be carrying with him.

The programme concluded with a cake cutting by the couple on their Wedding Anniversary celebrations followed by a sumptuous and delicious lunch by Udayam restaurant. The programme would not have been so successful without the man behind the show Mr Chelladurai who organised the programme so well and made it memorable.
