Kuwait orders Philippines ambassador to leave

Wednesday, April 25, 2018

Kuwait has ordered the Philippines’ ambassador to leave the country within a week and recalled its envoy in Manila for consultations, state news agency KUNA reported on Wednesday.

The decision came after the Philippines apologized on Tuesday for recent attempts by embassy staff to “rescue” Filipino domestic workers from their employers’ homes amid reports of abuse, which Kuwait viewed as a violation of its sovereignty.

Count your blessings!!
Every country in the world has something special or interesting. But Kuwait to me and my family, is a home away from home.
I would like to take a moment to Thank Kuwait for all the support you have shown us in the last many years. It’s We, who dreamed of coming here, seeking employment, applying and being accepted as a full-fledged employee, building a family, settling down through hardships and happiness.
If you’re able to work abroad, you have a lot to be grateful for! It’s easy to get bogged down by the tedious tasks, but take a step back and look at the bigger picture.
The best way to get over a bad day, is to be grateful for what’s going right in your life. I love Kuwait.

We Expats should be grateful to our Kuwaiti fellow men and Kuwait. I would admit it is the best country in the world. Please do not pass any bad comments on the country which gave you so much. Be thankful and grateful. Let us pray to Lord Almighty to keep this country safe.

Oh...Mohamed Ali,

If a country has more illegal residents, illegal business operations is a great country? If that is the case some African countries may come top on that.
Unless both hands meet....there is no chance to clap. There are some incidents where the domestic workers try to exploit owners but it is minuscule. But there umpteen incidents in which citizens/Arab/non-Arab expats exploit and harass the domestic workers. Not paying their salary, forced slavery, physical and mental abuse etc.

Kuwait is the best country for expatriates when compare to other gulf region. Most of our illegal traders and residency violators are intentionally spared by Kuwait authorities and police because of our countrie''s poor state. if they want to depart all of them they can do it within a week. Any attempt to bring new tax, laws against us has been blocked by mp''s and parliament and still we are free from many hikes and taxes previously planned. if we think about safety once we just look to our own country then we could realize the safe life in Kuwait. Some people are just barking against Kuwait because of other reasons like jealous. If we look at our country now a days then we feel a far better life here. I support Kuwait people and the government for giving us this life which we can''t dream before. Even in western countries and America we have to pay most of the income as taxes and spend most part of the earnings there. Once people realized the reality or experienced the real things out of this country then only they know the value of Kuwait.
