Amnesty to end Sunday: 20,000 Indians utilized the benefit.

The humanitarian initiative of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid AlJarrah, the amnesty for illegal residents will ends on Sunday, 22 of this month.

According to sources 110,000 violators of law have refused to benefit from the deadline and only 45,000 either corrected their status or left the country.

According to sources from Indian Embassy around 20,000 people used the benefit of amnesty to either leave the country or correct their status. According to available information, around 15,000 Indians left the country during amnesty and another 5000 corrected their status.

Meanwhile, the sources confirmed that the security services will begin campaigns to arrest the 110,000 who are still at large. Those arrested will be held legally accountable.
