Division D Dimensions 2018 creates history in Toastmasters Kuwait along with District Trio

Thursday, April 19, 2018

We have always studied about 3 dimensions, then Science added another dimension - Time. On Friday 13th April 2018, Division D added yet another Dimension in Toastmasters Kuwait.

It is not just every day that one can witness stalwarts of a particular field come together to create history. It was nothing short of a miracle to witness the contestants, judges, role players and the terrific District 20 Trio all under one roof for the much awaited and the much-anticipated Division D Annual Contest which was recently concluded at British School Kuwait. It seemed there were more stars on the ground than in the sky that evening.

Under the visionary leadership of Division D director Alifiya Lakdawala, the whole evening progressed with a lot of aplomb amidst great speeches by the contestants in each segment. It was nothing short of a glimpse of speakers who will be soon termed as legends of Toastmasters. It was an evening where the speakers surely delivered beyond expectations and ensured that they made the job of judges more difficult than ever. Just as much we would appreciate the speakers, we need to appreciate the judges too, for an awesome, edge of the seat judgment. It was a very close call for them and they truly lived up to their definition of correct and precise judgement.

As though all this was not enough, there was a spectacular dance performance by DK Dance Academy that mesmerized the audience. Key note speaker for the Dimensions 2018, TM Mohammed Ali Shukri etched this evening in the sands of time as a historic evening of gladiators of Toastmasters. His keynote speech on Soarin’ kept everyone asking for more. It was truly an insightful and inspirational speech that enthralled the audience for Soarin’ again.
Division D congratulates all its winners and wishes them all the very best for their upcoming and future endeavors.

and last but not the least TM Mohamed Ali Shukri for their unwavering support, confidence and for being part of Dimensions 2018. We also extend our sincere appreciation to TM Rohaina Tanveer on successfully accomplishing her High Performance Leadership (HPL) project. Amidst all this glitter, shimmer the absence of our Program Quality Director (PQD) DTM Shanmuga Sundaram was most felt.

With so well planned and executed event, no wonder Alifiya Lakdawala, as Division D director continues on her tradition of creating history in Toastmasters Kuwait and raising the bar and setting new benchmarks. As it was correctly highlighted in the annual event, she is the one that truly defines the Extra in Extra Ordinary, she is the one that goes that extra mile and continues to deliver and delivers with difference in all dimensions.
