Kuwait Toastmasters conducted District 20 Division D AREA 42 Contest

2nd March 2018 Friday at 2:00 pm – 8:00pm ACK, Auditorium Mishreff, Kuwait.

We witnessed the spectacular District 20 Division D, Area 42 Contest on March 2nd 2018 at the Australian College, Kuwait under the Distinguished Dynamic, Dedicated Leaders of District Director Dr. Mohammed Makhlouf, Division ‘D’ Director TM Alifiya Lakdawala and Area Director TM Bindu John, Toastmaster Nachupally Ram Kumar’s HPL Project. Area 42 Contest, which comes under the umbrella of Division D and is represented by 6 clubs namely, Bright Horizons, Don Bosco, Capitol Speakers, Mace Springs, Aura and Kalemah who strived for oratory excellence at the Contest.

It was also TM Nachupally Ram Kumar’s, HPL Project that aligns Toastmasters to taking on a practical project that enables to hone leadership skills in areas like developing a vision, goal setting, conflict management and team building. The relentless efforts shown by TM Nachupally Ram Kumar be it in the publicity of the event or the marketing were key in making the event a grand success an Excellence in Education and Entertainment Area 42 contest. The Australian College of Kuwait ACK Auditorium was quite full with an amazing cheering audience saw Toastmasters take on center stage to prove their oratory best.

The winners of the different categories were:

TABLE TOPICS SPEECH CONTEST:

1. TM Gopalakrishnan (Bright Horizon)

2. TM Gayatri Ravindran (Mace Springs)

3. TM Manju Thomas (Don Bosco)

EVALUATION SPEECH CONTEST:

1. TM Snehal Sawant (Bright Horizon)

2. TM Naseema Khan (Capitol Speakers)

3. TM Shilpa Reddy (Aura Club)

HUMOROUS SPEECH CONTEST:

1. TM Satish Kumar (Bright Horizon)

2. TM Tabassum Ali (Mace Springs)

3. Rohini Rajshekhar Iyer (Aura club)

INTERNATIONAL SPEECH CONTEST:

1. TM Malin Williams (Bright Horizon)

2. TM Gayatri Ravindran (Mace Springs)

3. TM Shilpa Reddy (Aura Club)

The program allowed a small speaking segment exclusively for the Gavalier(s) of Durrar Club highlighting the talent and gusto of young Gavelier(s) TM Vanya, TM Yousef, TM Shivangi Kumra and TM Aseel who were loaded with bright new ideas and strong take home messages relevance to the District 20 Division ‘D’ Area 42 contest Theme "Where there is a Will, there is a Way"

The event was orchestrated by the beautiful and superfluous Emcee TM Biji Gittens whose stage presence was another winning streak of the day. A Heartfelt Thanks to Al-Mulla who were the main sponsor for the event. The sumptuous feast was arranged by TM Nachupally Ram Kumar that left guests in a gastronomical delight! Special spot prizes vide Raffle lot added to the fun & frolic!

A big thank you goes out to District Director Dr. Makhlouf, Division D Director TM Alifiya Lakdawala, Division I Director TM Fathima Abdullah and other Area Directors and the Toastmaster fraternity who supported us, enjoyed the moments and made their presence valuable to us. TM Nachupally Ram Kumar HPL Project ‘Excellence in Educational and Entertaining Area 42 Contest’ concluded with applaud and recognition of dignitaries, toastmasters members, family, visitors and guests.
