AMU Old Boys Association Kuwait’s “Family Day Out” - 2018

MU Old Boys Association Kuwait organized first ever “Family Day Out” since its inception in 2015 for AMU Alumni in Kuwait on 06 April 2018 at Ahmedi Garden. The event was attended by men, women and children of all age groups, despite the uncertain weather, but the God had been very kind and weather became pleasant as the day progressed. Not only that, most of the people participated in almost all the activities with full vigor, energy and enthusiasm. It was truly mesmerizing to see the positive energy oozing out from the participating teams and their excitement in winning the medals and prizes. It would not be exaggeration to say that, positivity and fun were in the air of Ahmedi Garden on 06 April 2018.

However, the event started at 8.30 a.m. by welcome of President Mr. Tanwir Alam, immediately after that fresh breakfast with hot tea was served, followed by croissaint, cup cake, chips, juices and water through out the day. At around 10.30 sports activities started with mixed football (adult & children), then Friday prayer break was observed between 11.30 to 12.30. After Friday prayer, sports activities resumed till the lunch break. There were various sports activities, which engaged the participating families for the whole day, to name a few, football, passing the parcel, tug of war, lemon spoon race, Housie and much more. At around 13.40 freshly grilled delicious Arabic Lunch Packs were served with chilled soft drinks. The remaining games and sports played after the lunch and housie was the final activity.

Furthermore, “AMUOBA Family Day Out” was attended by many prominent senior Aligarians with their families, who are holding very high positions in Oil Sector as well as private companies and seldom seen in such gatherings. It was indeed a treat to watch 3 generations together enjoying and participating in the activities with equal energy and enthusiasm. The event was concluded by distributing medals and prizes to the winners, runners up and the participants of the sport activities, by the hands of the senior most Aligarians present there.

Last but not the least, AMUOBA Kuwait Chapter is grateful to all those Aligarians, who graced the event by participating and assure that, it will keep organizing such events more frequently to establish a bonding among AMU Alumni and their families in Kuwait. Thus, AMUOBA President and his team striving hard to translate his signature statement that, “AMUOBA is by you, of you and for you” into reality. Nevertheless, it will be unfair, if the men behind the 4 weeks of immaculate planning and meticulous execution are not acknowledged and they are Mr. Tanwir Alam – President, Mr. Asad Khan – Vice President, Mr. Mustafa Javed Warsi – General Secretay, Mr. Sabah Omar – Jt. Secretary, Mr. Syed Naved Asghar – OSD, Mr. Neyaz Akhtar – DOSD and the Executive Members – Mr. Asim Jameel, Mr. Ahteshamullah Khan, Mr. Abdul Ahad, Mr. Habibullah, Mr. Mohammad Azharuddin, Mr. Mohammed Parvez Khan, Mr. Mumtaz Alam Siddiqui and Mr. Tariq Waseem.

Hence, Team AMUOBA deserves all the accolades and appreciation for getting together like “pearls in the necklace” to make “AMUOBA Family Day Out” memorable.
