Health fees increase dropped patients’ numbers

Tuesday, March 20, 2018

Increasing health fees for expatriates had remarkably decreased outpatient appointment waiting periods said Mubarak Hospital’s Manager Dr Nadia AlJumaa. Dr Nadia also added that appointments that used to be made after a month can now be made in less than a week.

Patients referred to the hospital from various clinics can now be seen by specialized doctors on the same day or within two days at most.

“Citizens used to complain that they do not feel they are in their own country because of the crowds at various hospitals,” she stressed, noting that the numbers of Kuwaiti patients have increased after imposing the new fees. “However, we do not discriminate among patents,” she said.

what a news they are saying its remarkable. fact is they are losing business. before they used to get more profit but now very less. and many poor expat patients are there who are suffering and not able to visit govt hospital because of this high fees. its better that company should give leave to them so that they can go to their home country and do their treatment.

Genius health ministry officials shall do more. Let them double the fees so that no expat patients will be seen in any of hospitals/clinics.

Extremely sad to know that the unthinkable has become a reality. It could have been a good news, if the number of patients has decreased due to a decrease in diseases due to the high efficiency of the medical team and facilities. This is actually bad news to understand that the 'dinar less' diseased people are keeping away and silently suffering or probably awaiting a quick death, and that too, in our very own neighborhoods. This is also frightening, due to 'no medication' because of poverty, the diseased people can definitely pose a direct danger to others. I hope the authorities will open their eyes to see whats happening and take wise decisions to thwart the impending disaster.

Wow great news kuwait has invented a new type of treatment, i new about Homeopathic, Ayurveda etc. but this type of treatment that can cure more than half of the serious patients which were earlier treated by specialized doctors, great invention. I am sure i will never fall sick in kuwait after reading this news. Actually government should introduce Leave facility for workers to fall sick, so that they can travel before falling sick. this will cure another 5o% of the Patient.
