IES Welcomed its New Batch of Grade 10 (2018-2019) with Immense Joy and Excitement

‘There is no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs. Let today be the beginning of something new. Mistakes are the proof that you’re trying.’

With immense pleasure and happiness, the teacher and student community of Indian Educational School Kuwait, cordially welcomed their new batch of grade 10 students (2018-2019) on 4th March 2018. The students shared their excitement and nervousness while entering the school campus. The tension of board exams was truly in the air.

But the teachers were determined to give their beloved students a wonderful beginning and make them comfortable. After a formal welcome by the principal Mr. T. Premkumar through the school Public Address System, the students were individually briefed in their respective classes during the first period about the marking schemes and other policies like the ‘100% cleanliness’ strategy that the school has intended upon implementing this year. After the recess, the students were taken down to the playground to have a fun time. The school band played one of their brilliant pieces and other students staged their talents like singing and dancing. The day became even more memorable for each student when Mr. Binoy Mathew, Head of the Department Social Science rendered a beautiful Hindi fast number for the students. The students were humorously engaged by Mr. Sriee, member of the Department of French, and Mr. Venu, member of the Department of Mathematics. Principal Mr. T. Premkumar, Vice Principal (CCA) Mrs. Meenakshi Nayyar, the class-coordinator Mrs. Freny Abraham and other subject teachers addressed the students regarding various topics like discipline, hard work, time management, and planning. It was a very enlightening session for the students. To end the day with a bang, the teachers organized various games for the students to actually feel free and enjoy themselves. Everyone returned to their classes happily. The students were also given chocolates at the end of the day. All have been set for a successful year because they had a bashful beginning, thanks to their caring and concerned teachers.
