Toyota unveil the all new Camry 2018  in Kuwait

Mohamed Naser ALSAYER & Sons (MNSS), a subsidiary of ALSAYER Holding has unveiled the all-new Camry 2018 - Ahead of Ambitions, redefining the standard for mid-size sedans. The press conference held at ALSAYER Ballroom at Ardiya was attended by Faisal Bader Al Sayer Chairman, Mubarak Naser Al Sayer CEO, Bengt Schultz Chief Operating Officer, Johan Heislitz Senior Business Director MNSS, Scott McNicol General Manager Sales, Hamad Al-Fouzan Product Planning Manager, Naomi Ishii GM, Masato Katsumata Chief Engineer of Camry, Koji Nagata Project General Manager, Yugo Miyamoto Chief Representative Middle East and accompanying delegation from Toyota Motor Corporationalong with distinguished members of the press and media.

Setting new standards for the mid-size sedan segment in design, performance,and comfort, Toyota announced today the launch of the all-new 2018 Camry in the Middle East. The design of the eighth-generation Camry aims to test thelimits of performance and intelligence, infusing the high-end sedan with a refined feel.

According to Mubarak Naser Al Sayer “As we are aware the automotive industry is rapidly transforming and Toyota continues to set the trend with the introduction of a range of new and exciting models. Camry is a testimony of this. After its introduction in the Gulf 25 years ago, Camry has to its credit spectacular record of achievement and exceptional sales. Camry is close to every family and every business.”

The design team began with a blank slate, using Toyota New Global Architecture(TNGA) as the basis for the allnew platform, units, electronics, and other corecomponents. The result is a striking emotional character, stunningly beautiful design,responsive driving, and premium ride performance.

Speaking during the occasion Bengt Schultz said “From a sales point of view our retail as well as fleet customers are happy with the Camry performance. Thanks for their loyalty and support over the years. Some of you would have seen our Camry that has clocked 1 Million KM in display at Scientific Center - This is what makes Camry special, its durability is unbeatable.”

“To create something that stirs people’s soul, we have laid out the concept of a new sedan that provides fun and excitement behind the wheel,” said the chief engineer of the all-new Camry, Masato Katsumata.”In developing the next-generation Toyota Camry, we were able to start with a blank slate, which allowed us to create a true driver’s car that behaves exactly as the driver intends.The all-new 2018 Camry is an extremely balanced machine with much more excitement and emotion than any previous model. It keeps the driver and passengers comfortable and fresh on long drives while instilling them with confidence on twisty roads.”

Since its debut in 1982 and subsequent evolution over eight generations, the Camry has come to be embraced by people around the world for its excellent performance, ride quality, and its high level of Quality, Durability,and Reliability (QDR). The car has established an unshakeable presence in the standard mid-size sedan market - both in the Middle East and globally - with total sales surpassing 19 million units.

The all-new Camry provides a comfortable and stable ride with superior handling characteristics, thanks to Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA), which represents an entirely new strategy to the way the company designs, engineers, and packages its vehicles. TNGA retains all of Toyota’s traditional values of superlative build quality and safety while injecting a fun driving experience that plays on all the senses. The physical manifestation is the usage of a new engine, transmission, and the GA-K platform.

Set to become a new sensation among the region’s aspiring car enthusiasts, the all-new Camry comes with three powertrain options; a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 178 hp and 23.6 kg-mof torque and mated with a six-speed automatic transmission, and a newlydeveloped 3.5-liter V6 with D-4S fuel injection system that produces 298 hp and 36.3 kg-mof torque and mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission. In addition, a new electrified hybrid system will be introduced later this year, combining two power sources consisting of a petrol engine and two electric motors, producing 176 hp and 118 hp, respectively, and delivering 22.5 kg-m and 20.6 kg-m of torque, respectively. It is also mated with an Electronically Controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (ECVT) that simulates a six-speed sequential shift transmission, delivering a new level of driving pleasure. With an exciting interior featuring a distinctive design, and offering convenience and comfort with a layer of luxury, the bold new car’s cabin is accentuated with a range of advanced features, including enhanced in-vehicle 8-inch information displays, wireless charging system for smartphones, dual-zoneautomatic air conditioning system, sixspeaker sound system, multi-adjustable power front seats, and 60/40 split and reclining rear seats.

As with any other Toyota model, safety remains a top priority for the all-new Camry, which includes a comprehensive array of safety features to protect its occupants, such as six SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Hill-start Assist Contol (HAC), and an enhanced body structure and platform structure with a 30-percent increase in torsional rigidity,among many others.

Available in nine distinctive exterior colorsof which two have been newly-developed, includingGraphite ME, and Platinum White Pearl MC, which expresses strength and supple flexibility with its warm tint and metallic feel, the 2018 Camry lets customers express their individuality.Also, and for the first time in Camry (for the SE grade with V6 engine), there will be two-tone color schemesthat accentuate the Camry’s sporty and sculpted shape, and set it apart from the competition. On the other hand, the interior comes in a total of three color schemes. Furthermore, the all-new Camry has been rearmed with a 17-inch alloy wheel andan 18-inch alloy wheelfeaturing two intricate designs - with one exclusively available for the SE grade.

Only Kuwaiti women and Indians use Camry. In this cermony only gcc arabs and few whites are there. These guys use American, German , European cars, don't know whey they are there.
