Government hospitals in Kuwait registered 25 babies born in the early hours of New Year 2018; the first cries of a baby girl were heard at 12:20 am, followed by 15 other girls and nine boys, as well as two sets of twins — Kuwaiti and Egyptian.
Farwaniya Hospital registered the highest number of newborns and its Director Dr Mahdi Al-Fadhli reported welcoming eight newborns — two are twin girls.
In Sabah Hospital, Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department Dr Waleed Al-Jassar said the hospital registered seven newborns — four boys and three girls, two are twin boys.
Jahra Hospital Director Dr Ali Al-Mutairi disclosed the hospital registered five newborns — four girls and a boy.
