Malayalam wikipedia Kuwait chapter celebrated the 15th anniversary of Malayalam Wikipedia at Abu Halifa Park in Kuwait. Mr. Irvin Sabastian, administrator of Malayalam Wikipedia presided the event and took class on what is Wikipedia and how Wiki works and introduced Wikipedia Malayalam. Senior Wikipedian Mr. Noble Mathew Venmony took class on what is Wikimedia commons and how pictures can be added to it.

Messrs Sunil Thomas, Linu Samuel, Jacob, Vidyanathan Iyer, Yesu Das, Praveen Mathew, Thomas Selvan participated in the discussion and shared their wiki experience. The meeting decided to form an active Malayalam wiki community in Kuwait and conduct educational programs to popularise wikipedia.

Meeting concluded after Cake cutting ceremony as part of the celebration. Mr. Noble Mathew welcomed the gathering and Mrs. Jipitha Irvin proposed the vote of thanks.

Malayalam Wikipedia started functioning in December 21 2002 which has now 53,200+ Articles and 315 Active editors worldwide. Similar celebrations were held in various parts of India.
