STECI Sevini Samajam Organized one Day Retreat and Cancer Awareness Seminar

St. Thomas Evangelical Church of India, Kuwait Parish Sevini Samajam (Ladies Wing) conducted its one day retreat at KTMCC hall of NECK on 30th Nov 2017 from 9.00 A.M as a part of its calendar year program. The retreat was inaugurated by the parish Vicar Rev. Saji Abraham. The program commenced with an opening prayer by Mr. George Varughese and welcome speech by Mrs. Sunitha Roy. The choir was led by the Sevini Samjam members. The first session of the retreat led by Mrs Sindhu Saji wife of Rev. Saji Abraham (Vicar STECI, Kuwait Parish) with a devotional presentation. She highlighted three important women of God mentioned in the Bible. The second session was schedule for cancer awareness and was led by Dr. Susovana Sujit Nair (Oncologist, KCCC Breast unit, Sabha Region Kuwait). She stressed the necessity of early detection of cancer in order to get faster and complete healing. Sevini Samajam Secretary Mrs. Leny Anitha Thomas introduced the doctor to the gathering and welcome on their behalf. Women member’s talents were shown through some competitions, solos and duets. The Prizes were distributed to all winners. Retreat was concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Anna George Cherian, final Prayer by Mr. A. Thomas Varghese and Benediction by Rev. Saji Abraham. Whole event was anchored by Mrs. Sinu Samuel and Reena Biju. Samuel.
