Fahaheel Al Watanieh Indian Private School celebrated Founder’s Day & Scholar Badge Ceremony on 8th Nov.2017 at IBS with a lot of exuberance and ardour having trod the path since 1995. The ceremony commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp by Principal Mrs Anju Dheman, the Chief Guest, Mr Pramod Grover, the Honorary Treasurer- Delhi Public School Society & Chairman – Faips Managing Committee, distinguished guests, Mr Mohd. Al Shuaibi, C.E.O Al Rayan Holding Company & Pro Vice Chairman – Faips Managing Committee, Ms Namita Pradhan – Member- Delhi Public School Society, Mr Rahul Singh & Mr Hemant Agarwal.
Principal, Mrs Anju Dheman made a humble beginning by a warm and heartfelt welcome speech presenting the progressive strides the school has taken in the last 22 years. Students gave a melodious orchestra performance; followed by the graceful and synchronized fusion dance ‘East meets West’, a dance routine on the melange of the western and Indian Classical dance. The rendering of the Hindi song based on the poem by the legendary poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan mesmerized the audience. The additional bonanza of the programme was an encapsulated audio –visual presentation highlighting the school’s growth and accomplishments over the years in all arenas.
The live demonstration of the latest Sand Art form was the icing on the cake which left the audience spellbound.
It was indeed a proud moment when nearly 150 students were presented with scholar badges and a certificate, acknowledging their meritorious academic performance. About 20 outgoing students, both from the CBSE and IGCSE curricula were awarded cash prizes as a recognition of their mettle. The Principal took the opportunity to revere the mentors as well, with cash awards for bringing forth outstanding results in Kuwait – both subject toppers and gaining the highest subject average percentage. Not only is academics of prime importance in FAIPS, but also the co-scholastics. Deserving pupils received Honours in the field of sports and Fine Arts. Employees with over fifteen years of service and contribution to the institution also received accolades and recognition.
The morning celebrations concluded with encouraging and congratulatory words from the Chief Guest and Principal, and as the curtain descended every parent surely felt special to be part of such an elite congregation.
