IDAK hosted basketball tournament

In the last of the series of games hosted by IDAK for the term 2015-2017 , the basketball tournament was held at Boulevard, Salmiya on 20th October. It was witnessed by a record crowd in ideal weather .

Men’s basketball was totally dominated by the star studded Central Commandos (CC) and the wide disparity in scores was proof enough .

In the first match CC decimated PolyPirates (PP) and the Eastern Eagles (EE) overcame PP in the second match . Finals was played between CC and EE and CC continued their total dominance with the score.

Jr Lek Prabhath Shetty was adjudged the best player who was a class apart.

In contrast, the women’s throwball was very tightly contested and after the round robin league all three teams had the same points. Tiebreaker was deployed to decide the winners and PP was eliminated after the first round . It took 3 rounds of tiebreaker rounds to decide the winners and CC made it a memorable day bagging both men’s and women’s basketball and EE came second followed by PP.

Dr.Anjana of EE was adjudged the best player in maidens throw

The climate was just perfect and the supporters of each team played a vital role especially in the maidens' throw. The matches were officiated by Mr.Prajeesh from International Indian School.

After the last of the games, PP lost it’s first place to EE and after a slumber CC came agonizingly close to the rest of the teams.

EE leads the pack with 61 followed by PP at 54 and CC last with 45 points.
