Indian left the country after months of struggle to prove that ‘he is alive’

Friday, September 8, 2017

An Indian national from Andhra Pradesh finally left the country after struggling for months to prove that he is 'alive'! All happened 19 months back when Naresh from Andhra Pradesh was trying to leave Kuwait for his annual vacation in March 2016. The immigration authorities at Kuwait international airport prevented him from leaving the country as according to the system, the passenger is dead! After investigation it’s found that the visa sticker pasted on his passport was that of another person with the same name. And later the other person passed away in Kuwait. After 19 months of running from pillar to post to prove that he is not the man who is dead, Naresh finally left the country.

The incident also gives a warning for every expats to check the details of Visa sticker pasted on their passport to verify that the details are correct.

My colleague also faced similar problem. After his annual leave when he returned to Kuwait, he was not allowed entry to Kuwait as he was told that his visa is 14 (Temporary visa) in the system, even though the sticker said 18 no. visa. Someone in the ministry is tampering with the system.

I agree with comments of Mr. Khaleel and Jerry. Unfortunately this gentleman paid loans / phone bills of 1900kd of died person for getting clearance to go. He belongs to Telangana state. A lot of people and associations helped him for clearing his file in government departments and contribute money for loan / bills clearance. I appreciate all people who helped him to reach home. Praying God, not to happen this to any expat.
Thanks,
sharma

Really disgusting. How come it took 19months to trace in such a world of technology.

Who should verify the details, Who should be blamed..? It is clearly showing the ignorance only because he is expat.
