Idukki Association Kuwait Celebrated Eid & Onam ‘Thumbapoonilavu 2017’

Idukki Association Kuwait (IAK) Celebrated Eid & Onam Cultural Program ‘Thumbapoonilavu 2017’ at St. Alphonsa (SMCA) Hall, Abbassiya on 1st September 2017. The functions started with children’s coloring & drawing competition at 9.30am. More than 50 children participated in it and Mr. Preeth Jose coordinated the competition.
The Cultural event started with a colorful procession including traditional ‘Thalapoli’, ‘Chendamelam’ & ‘Pulikali ‘

IAK President Mr. Biju P Anto presided the public meeting while General Secretary Mr. Mathew Areepparampil delivered the welcome note. Mr. Mahesh P. Iyer (Smart Indian School Principal) inaugurated the function, address the gathering and he sung two songs as well. This drew a big round of applause from the packed crowd.

Eternity International Travels & Tourism’s representative Mr. Thomas, IAK Vice President Mr. Joseph Varghese Makkollil, Advisory board chairman Mr. Jiji Mathew and Eid and Onam Cultural program’s General convener Mr. Thomas V Chacko felicitated the meeting. IAK Treasurer Mr. Jomon Jacob extended the vote of thanks. Memento for the main sponsor-Eternity International Travels & Tourism presented by IAK president Mr. Biju P. Anto to Mr. Thomas.

After the public meeting there were various cultural programs performed by IAK Members which includes Thiruvathira, Oppana, Vallumkali, skits and Group dances. The Cultural programs was convened by Mr. Benny Agustine

Instrumental music from members and Ganamela, Cinematic dances, mimics & Magic shows from Vismaya Music band made the function as a classic event. A delicious ‘Onasadya’ served under the supervision of Food Committee convener Mr. Bino Joseph and team.
