Good News for Indians flying abroad, No departure cards from July 1st

Tuesday, June 20, 2017

On June 14th a notification was issued by the ministry of external affairs seeking to discontinue the departure cards for Indian passengers at all international airports across the country.

Main Aim of this move is to make the immigration process a breeze-through experience for Indian passengers at the airports.

No more wasting of time to fill up the details in the departure cards issued by the bureau of immigration near the check-in counters and immigration counters.

Filling of departure cards at rail, seaport and land immigration check posts will continue as usual .

Always late n behind the hightech systems of other airports.was total waste of paper n passenger hassle. I always failed to understand that If the immigration officer is entering the information of the passenger at his computer why need a silly slip again to fill. I shiver to wonder where india would be if shri Rajiv Gandhi had not enforced computerized era..
