Holidays are time that we enjoy endlessly and we surely will remember those wonderful days for a lifetime. This vacation is the time when we can nourish and cherish our hidden talents. As our curriculum and life here in Kuwait makes it very busy for us, this vacation is the right time for us to enjoy and develop our skills.

There are many ways to spend this vacation usefully. Nature is our mother. Why don’t we spend some time with nature? I suggest all my friends here in Kuwait to convert their balconies into a small and beautiful vegetable garden. Don’t think it is impossible for us kids we can do it. I did it, so can you. If you don’t believe me, you can take a look at these pictures.

When I visited one of my friend’s houses, I was really amazed to see red tomatoes in their balcony. I was motivated to do the same in our house and I spent some time during my last vacation in planting tomatoes in our balcony. My mother helped me in filling the pots with soil and planting the sapling. She guided me in watering the small plants during initial stages and it was amazing to see the growth of tomatoes from flower to fruit and changing colors from green to red. I felt so happy to see the tomatoes in our balcony.

David Allen says “You can do anything, but not everything”. I am sure all our parents will help us in this interesting job. So let us all get ready to see our own little garden in Kuwait.

While selecting books we should keep in mind that there is a combination of our favorite author’s books, spiritual books, motivational books etc.

We can spend some time in our favorite games too. The only limitation is that as the climate is hot we will have to restrict ourselves to indoor games. In the evenings we can spend some time playing outdoors games too.

There are many summer camps that are available in Kuwait which are conducted by schools, organizations like Kidzania, BSC etc.You can select any one of these camps which suites you with your talent. You can also make visits to the zoo, museums, farms and monuments

In Kuwait whenever your parents have free time, do visit your friend’s and relative’s houses. These visits make our relationships and bonds stronger. Don’t forget to take some vacations as they help you to explore new places and travel will improve your knowledge on various people, culture and social customs.

All these things will keep you away from Television and other electronic gadgets which is the need of the hour. If you are addicted to television or computer games this will help you to get rid of this addiction.

My vacation

I am going this summer to United States for family vacation. We will start our tour by visiting Times Square in New York, visiting Statue of Liberty, New Your Bull on Wall Street etc. Whenever I see the name of Wall Street connected with any economic news, I had a wish to visit the place in person. In Washington DC, we will be visiting places such as Air & Space Museum, The Capitol building etc. I will be visiting Hershey’s Chocolate factory which will show me the process of making Chocolates. Our trip ends in Niagara waterfalls where we will be having illumination views of the falls in addition to boat rides. I am so excited with my father’s promise to have a helicopter ride in Niagara’s. I am thankful to God for giving us this opportunity to go around and see new places.
