Wednesday, May 24, 2017

Edulab today announced that Mumbai University has now opened online applications for international students for the first time in the history. This initiative brings to students the benefits of applying with just their marksheets, from the comfort of their homes, without the hassles of lengthy forms and lengthy queues to submit applications till they receive admission offer letter. What makes this even more lucrative for students is that no registration fees will be charged to the students until their admission is confirmed.

“A newer approach has been introduced by us. Mumbai has been ranked this year in the top 100 cities to live for students - which makes it more apt for students to apply to study in India’s oldest university. We are happy to have partnered with Edulab for their online platform http://admissiondesk.org as it makes it easy for students to apply to over 100’s of courses in few simple steps. We are certain that we will be able to achieve our target of 1500 international students by 2020,” shares Mr. Sanjay Deskhmukh, Vice Chancellor, Mumbai University, on the event of signing the tie-up with Pratik Gandhi, Founder, Edulab Educational Exchange Pvt. Ltd.

This platform will provide the easiest way to apply and get the admission in India’s best colleges. It provide various options and flexibility to students. “We want to build this as an exclusive platform to enable students to register online, and choose from a wide range of colleges and courses. The process is simple, and helps the students and institutes to connect directly.” as said by Mr. Pratik Gandhi, Founder of Edulab Education exchange Pvt. Ltd.

Currently, the application process to institutes to India through other options involves downloading and filling lengthy forms, couriering it to friends in India (even after uploading it online), sending someone to stand in a queue and apply. With http://admissiondesk.org this entire process has been shortened and made much easier. Additionally, students don't have to pay separate application fee for every college unless they take up the course. With Admission Desk, students can apply to unlimited colleges and courses and pay the application fee only for the college they have got admitted to. What’s more exciting for students is that even scholarships are available from different colleges on this platform!

India being one of the fastest growing economies and west going through tough diplomatic outlook, India truly is emerging one of the sweet spots in terms of Return of Investment in higher education. In last year itself India saw a huge gain of international students and the numbers doubled from 33000 odd to close to 65000.
