Captian Prince's goal bestows Champions FC a historic march into the finals in KEFAK GRAND HYPER LEAGUE season 5, the most prestigious and popular soccer league in Kuwait. Champions FC defeated Bigboys (1-0) in a breathtaking football banquet on 5th May, 2017 in Mishref stadium. Jubilant players did it with a beaming smile on their face with the exuberance of Prince Puthussery carrying Champions FC into the final.

It was ruthless, a systematic and shrewdly executed dismantling of the opposition in the first half of the match giving frustration for Irshad and Kishore for missing a number of opportunities to dominate. The innumerable supporters of Champions feared that the team would be wounded again because of the lost chances. A stunning goal save by goalkeeper Ramesh rejuvenated the team. In the second half, the team was duly robbed by a combination of Prince, Nahas, Sujith and Harikuttan from the centre half resulting a match winning goal 55th minute of the match. This could become an extra ordinary goal in the season. A wonderfully seasoned wall formed by Ranjit, Firoz, Navas and Muthu rose to the expectations of the team. Ranjith read the game magnificently and showed great technique in dispossessing the opponents. Midfielder Navas has won the man of the match award.

After the early tough seasons in KEFAK, Champions FC slipped back down and is now ready to aim the Championship in KEFAK Soccer League season 5.
