Outgoing students get a warm adieu from ICSK

The students of class X of the Indian Community School, Amman, were accorded a unique farewell on Thursday, 23rd February 2017. The outgoing students of class X were warmly welcomed to the venue by the class IX prefects.

Melodious welcome song rendered by the school choir and the lamp lighting ceremony added charm to the beginning of the function.

The school Vice President Tobias Saju welcomed the gathering. Senate President Tania Thankam addressed the gathering on behalf of the student body.

In Principal’s address Mr. Rajesh Nair cherished his association with the outgoing students and wished them a very bright and successful future. He also appreciated and awarded mementos to the prefects for their sincere contribution in executing their duties.

A grand cultural show was put up by the students of class IX and staff which included an array of songs, dance and mime making the day a memorable one.

The outgoing students recalled their experiences in their alma mater in emotional and nostalgic overtones.

As a mark of respect, senate members presented a token of appreciation to all the beloved teachers who guided and moulded them during their tenure in the school. Token of love and appreciation was also given to the outgoing students by the junior students of class IX.

On behalf of all the staff, the Senate Advisor Mrs.Aleyamma Satheesh addressed the students and advised them to be decent and modest in their appearance, in their speech and in actions which make the difference between a man of honour and a man of the world. She reminded them to carry the values and morals taught to them from ICSK.

Asst Arts Club Secretary Mriga Arora proposed the vote of thanks.
