Ahmadi Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam Kuwait (AMTYS) conducted Second Rino Alex Memorial Bible Quiz Competition amongst all churches in Kuwait on 03rd March 2017 at Ahmadi Mar Thoma Centre, Fahad Al Ahmed Area, Sabahiya. Programme was started with Opening prayer by Rev. C. C. Sabu (Vicar of St. Pauls’C.S.I church Ahmadi). Mr. Manoj Abraham, Secretary and convener, AMTYS gave a warm welcome to all the teams and various other dignitaries in the dais. Presidential address was by Rev. Biju Sam, President of AMTYS, Kuwait. Mrs. Ritty Robert gave a memorial speech of Late. Rino Varghese Alex. Mr. James George led the quiz competition along with the assistance of Rev. C. C. Sabu as jury and Mr. A. A. Alexander and Mr. Thomas T. C. Master Johan James George and Master Jonas James George as supporting team. After several rounds of questioning, St. Peters’s C.S.I. Church, Kuwait secured the first place with St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Pazhaya palli as first runner up and Kuwait St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church as second runner up. Trophies and cash prices were sponsored by Kattunilathu Puthenpurayil, Mr. K. G. Alexander, father of late. Rino Varghese Alex. After the prize distribution and vote of thanks by Convener, Mr. Jeothish K. Cherian, the function was closed with prayer and benediction by Rev. Biju Sam.
