No family visa to work visa transfer for expatriate women

Friday, February 17, 2017

General Department for Residency Affairs has issued a decision to prohibit residency transfer from article No. 22 (family visa) to article No. 18 (private sector work visa) for expatriate women.

The decision also stipulates cancellation of residency of expatriate women in case of divorce, after which they should exit the country.

I have read a news in Arabtimes that there is no such rules implemented here in Kuwait...The rule will remain as same before..

Soon they will exclude few professions like nurse, doctor, teacher, engineer, manager etc...... like driving licence.

Most of the family viza rules only apply to Asian expats. Arabs have no problem getting family vizas.
If girls get a job they will be a lesser burden to their parents.

Excellent step by the government of Kuwait. Those who have complains can exit Kuwait. The kuwait authorities are not forcing you'll to stay.

Is this applicable for those who entered Kuwait in 18visa and transferred to family visa for time being due to perticular situation.Any one have correct information please reply.

Expatriates are here to work for Kuwait, then why do they ill-treat us? There are plenty of people working for years, providing best services and earning income. This law has imbalanced our career life in Kuwait. Did the government really implement this law in real sense? oh god...I wish they understand our terrible situation..

Posted on Saturday, February 18, 2017

is this implemented???

Posted on Saturday, February 18, 2017

What is The meaning of above statement,

Very Good News for Educational Institutions in Kuwait. All the so called House wife's who does not have any experience of teaching and most of them obtained their B ED Degree in Kuwait through distance education have joined the School and ruined the education standards in Kuwait. The schools are very happy to take them as they pay them almost the same salary they pay to House Keepers. It is a very good move by the Government Authorities.

very very bad and unfair decision by authorities...most of the expat womes are well educated and career oreinted they donnt have any rights to go ahead an make thier career inpite been married for their families ... allah help expats

Posted on Friday, February 17, 2017

This is a good and fair decision as parents face a hard time keeping the residence of their sons and eventually had to get their residence cancelled whereas daughters had the privelage of keeping dependant status on their father even after getting married and also getting jobs on dependant visas.

Really its shocking, everyday Kuwait has new rules for expats, why is this so,do we are not Human Being, For Allah dont really us like slaves, before making any decision please think once you confirm, can any one guarantee do we alive for 100 years then why all this rules and regulation, when a person think that we are slaves then no one can change his or her mind AllahKareem.

This is not fair. If some one spent the life here they should be given certain privileges. Especially ladies should be treated kindly.

Posted on Friday, February 17, 2017

This is definitely a bad news. There are many trying to find a job and to transfer their visa from 22 to 18 within the probation period. Many expatriate women on 22 visa will have a hard time. This is really disturbing...

What do u mean by good decision??
Does a house-wife who had been sacrificing her career for the up-bringing of her child & her family shdnt be allowed to pursue her career & her dreams?? shd she be confined inside the walls of the house??

Posted on Friday, February 17, 2017

That's ridiculous! If someone gets married abroad, they won't be able to get their spouse on a family visa first and then search for a proper job. Their spouse will have to be hired directly, that too by very incompetent and sleazy agencies that charge huge sums for a mediocre job. This is absolutely absurd!

its really very good decision, coz most of the company recruited these people and not given real market salary. if they need resource then should bring legal as Art # 18.
