Committee studying plans to charge fee for blood tests from expatriates

Ministry of Health plans to charge a fee for blood tests from expatriates, local Arabic news paper Al-Anba daily reported.

According to Al Anba report, the ministry is preparing the proposal with the charges for each type of blood test, after which it will be submitted to the Minister of Health in the next phase.

@akil, Kuwait likes to suck expats blood and squeeze their pockets, because they are cowards and afraid to do the same to citizens. If they apply it on the citizens, the concerned minister will be grilled at the parliament.

Ministry of Health is already charging for blood tests. Last month I had to carry out blood test for Vitamin D and was charged KD.5 for it. Also, I had to wait for 3 weeks to get the report from Salmiya West clinic. Also, my relatives had to undergo blood tests in Mubarak Al-Kabeer and paid a total of KD.15 for few tests.

I am wondering why only non Kuwaitis bear the new expenses?? why it cannot b uniform for every one irrespective of nationality. the economy of Kuwait runs on expats money. if the go where shall the Kuwaiti economy go. there shall be negative growth in Kuwait.
