Annual Day, an educational gala of today helps students to take home a bagful of happy memories. There were days when annual day was just another simple and somber event of the school, but now it has undergone a major change and thus stands out amongst all other events of the school.
Matthew’s Academy, the newest and youngest member of FAC group of companies celebrated its 2nd Annual Day “Colours” on 5th February 2017 at Sangeetha Auditorium, Mangaf. The function marked the culmination of various cultural activities that gave the tiny tots of Matthew’s Academy, a platform to showcase their talents. The program kick started with a prayer followed by Kuwait National Anthem. Mrs. Neena, welcomed an array of chief guest who presided over the function. Dr. Saritha, an eminent and leading gynecologist, Sponsor Ms. Dina. Al Omani, Rasha Al Omani and Ghazi Al Omani, Mrs. Nidhi Suneesh, Marketing Manager, British Medical Center And Mr. Santhosh Kumar inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp.
Ms. Dina Al Omani an epitome of leadership gave the presidential address. In her speech she stressed on the revolution in education system due to the ongoing advancement in technology as well as the changing needs of the present generation. She emphasized that in this ever changing world values should be inculcated to the students without losing the quality in education. Mrs. Bindu Varghese Mathai, director of the institution presented the annual report for the year 2016.
The program gained momentum with the commencement of welcome dance- a fusion of classical and freestyle dancing. The cock dancers enthralled the audience with their performance. Portuguese dance by pre-kg kids stole the hearts of the audience with their slow and rhythmic movements. The dance in pink gathered much appreciation from everyone present in the hall. Fashion show and the grand finale was the icing on the cake.
Mr. Santhosh Kumar, The Fahaheel English School, honored the prize winners of various competitions held at school and interschool level with certificates and gifts. President Mr. Sathish Kuruvilla (Parent Teacher Association) crowned the kindergarten graduates with graduation hat and awarded them the certificates.
The program ended with a Magic Show which elated the spirits of the people and left them awe- struck. The august audience bid adieu to each other after the Indian National Anthem and a sumptuous dinner.
Admission to pre-kg, kg- 1 and kg- 2 classes is available. The preschool provides a holistic atmosphere of learning through CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, India) curriculum. English is the mode of teaching. Students of all nationalities are given admissions and the fee structure suits the budget of everyone.
