Labor market flooded with unnecessary workers: MP

Monday, January 16, 2017

The labor market in the country is flooded with unnecessary workers, said MP Mubarak Al-Hajraf. He also said that he agreed to the statements made by his colleague Safaa Al Hashem concerning reducing the number of expats in the country within 4-5 years.

He also said that “Kuwait is the only GCC state where expats do not respect the laws”.

Earlier, MP Safa Al-Hashem called for imposing more charges and taxes on expatriates including charging road taxes on all expatriates living in the country, so that by raising the cost of living for expatriates, Kuwaiti employers will recruit only high-skilled foreigners that the country needs.
