The Primary Annual Sports Day for classes III-V of FAIPS-DPS was held on the December 19th 2016 at the Kuwait Sports Center, Ahmadi amidst great enthusiasm and revelry. The pleasant weather and the presence of their parents and friends were a perfect boost to the excited students who looked splendid and raring to go in their multi-coloured costumes.

The Chief Guest on the occasion was Dr. V. Binumon, Principal ICSK Senior. An educationist par excellence whose presence at the event made it all the more fabulous. The Chief Guest and the parents were welcomed by the Primary Headmistress, Ms. Seema Ally and by the Principal, Ms. Anju Dheman. An upbeat, peppy song called We Could Be Heroes was rendered melodiously by the Junior choir. Following thereafter, the Chief Guest took the Salute as the six Houses marched in perfect unison and synchroneity. The Sports Captain, Divyansh Tripathi, took the oath with the promise to partake in the spirit of fair competition for the honor of the school and sports. The Sports Meet was declared open by the Chief Guest after which he addressed the special audience of parents and students, and urged the students to keep their focus on the victory stand and not the finish line, giving the adage a whole new meaning.

The Ball and Fan drill by the students of Class III, a four part drill comprising of –Yoga, Gymnastics, Human Pyramid and Ribbon drill by the students of class IV and the final display, an Aerobic workout by the students of Class V to the music ‘Waka Waka’ were all exceptional and commendable. The students’ energetic and dexterous movements left the audience spellbound. The day ended with the Principal congratulating the PE department and teachers for their hard work in putting up a good show.
