Kozhikode District Association organised Shuttle Badminton Tournament for its members at Jawaharat Al Salah School, Riggae. Tournament was inaugurated jointly by Bahra Trading officials Mr. Biju Gangadharan and Mr. Shajahan playing against the team of Mr. Hameed Keloth and Mr. Santhakumar.M, patrons of the Association. Association President Rajagopalan E presided over the inaugural function. General Secretary Ramakrishnan.M offered felicitation. Mrs. Reeja Santhosh, Mahilavedi Secretary was also present on the occasion. Sports Secretary Thaha.K.V offered welcome address and Treasurer Haneef.C expressed vote of thanks.

In the matches held thereafter, Mr Sajeev won men's singles final., Mobin Abdul Latif was the runner up and and third place was won by Priyesh Kannoth. In the men's doubles, the team of Shabeer Mandoly and Mobin Abdul Latif Team won the men's doubles while the team of Priyesh Kannoth and Sajeev became the runners up and team of Siddique Illath and Naseer N.K won the the third place.

In the women's doubles the team of Shyna Priyesh and Subija Sajeev won the women's doubles and the team of Shahima Shabeer and Thesnee Haneef was the runners up. In the boys' singles Shammas Shabeer was the winner and Aron John was the runner up. In the girls' singles, Anjana Sajeev was the winner and Salabha Priyesh was the runner up.
