Central Bank to send warnings to customers who have not submitted invoices for loan amount

Tuesday, December 13, 2016

The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) will send warnings to customers who have not submitted their invoices and bills for clarifying the purpose behind taking personal loans from local banks.

According to local Arabic news paper Al-Shahed daily, CBK has renewed the demand from several banks to ensure their customers who took personal loans to submit the invoices.

As per report, large number of customers are not aware of the gravity of the situation and the punitive measures or sanctions the banks will impose on them if they do not comply with the terms after the end of the grace period. CBK informed that the instructions should not be taken lightly and failure in compliance to this instruction could force CBK to penalize the bank.

if a person paying the loan on time with interest, whats the point of asking details...it is called as 'PERSONAL LOAN" which means for personal cause, so no need to disclose anything. that simple common sense is missing....

When the Loan was taken the banks never told the
customers that invoices would be required.
So why is the Central Bank insisting on such invoices, as long as the customers are repaying the installments on time there should be no problem.
