Kuwait’s new airport to have outstanding facilities

Tuesday, December 6, 2016

Kuwait’s new airport will be one of the world’s best airports and will have outstanding facilities qualifying it as a pioneer in design, conserving energy and protecting the environment, said the Ministry of Public Works’ (MPW ) Assistant Undersecretary for Construction Projects Ghaleb Al-Shemmari. He added that MPW is keen on using new elements in the project such as modern air-conditioning systems, using natural light, recycling water and reusing it in irrigation as well as using solar power to generate 10 percent of the airport’s electricity.

Shemmari said that being a gigantic project, it needs time for preconstruction measures, which includes setting up temporary offices, topographic surveys and building the project’s perimeter.

With the available resources its not being managed efficiently. Immigration can be increased. The baggage collection be done more efficiently. The officials be more service oriented. The airport staff be more assistful. Provide airport transport service is too expensive. Increase the parking as now more travelers. Mainly try to be less discriminative

Facilities in new Airport? Atleast ask the Policemen, not treat passengers as their slaves. Nowhere in the world, one will find such police persons, who are inferior in education and attitude. Priority should be to change mindsets and system, not the Airport. Let the people do not curse the State and depart; but let them spread a word across the world that it is good to visit a cultured country like Kuwait. Will this ever happen, atleast in the next 2-3 generation change?

Hope they remember to include car parking. There was once a residential building in jleeb where the masri engineer forgot to include a kitchen.

What's the point of having a new airport/terminal when Kuwait is deporting all the expats??!!! There's no touristic spots in Kuwait to attract tourists/visitors. Also, many expat families are leaving Kuwait for good in another 2-3 years, so that there won't much crowd in the existing airport & no traffic jam on the roads. Good news for Kuwaitis!!!

Forget facilities, even if airport operation is not upto the mark but the staff put a smile on their face and assist the passengers. The passengers would leave your airport happily.

wow... outstanding reporting skills..!!
afterall its kuwait...the smart planners must hav forgotten to include roofing to airport main building plan.. so its become a facility called "natural lighting"..
and even if there r facilities, it will be controlled racially for various nationalities.. kuwait doesnt believe in equality..
I have travelled around so many airports and the only airport that makes u nervous and uneasy for no apparent reason is kuwait airport.. thanks to the dirty attitude of kuwaiti staff there..
jus a humble request.. try reducing the torture and humiliation facilities which u r providing now for expats..
