Prizes to the winners of the drawing and painting competition ‘Rainbow 2016’ conducted by Kerala Art Lovers Association (KALA Kuwait) on November 11 at Carmel School, Khaitan, were distributed at a meeting held at the Poppins Auditorium, Abbassiya on November 26.
In the meeting chaired by KALA Kuwait president R. Naganathan, KALA General Secretary C.K Noushad delivered the welcome speech. KALA Kuwait Treasurer Anil Kookari, Vice President T.K. Saiju and KALA Abbassiya Mekahala Secretary Michel Johnson attended the meeting.
The function, which was started with songs by the children from Abbassiya Mekhala, was attended by hundreds of people including parents of the prize winners.
Katherine Vismaya Biju (Bhavans School) in the senior category, Swatchanda Roy Mathew (Gulf Indian School) in the Junior category , Noel Alex Cyril (Learners Academy) in the Sub Junior category and Mohit Sai (Don Bosco School) in the Kindergarten category won the individual gold medals.
In the senior category, the second place went to Madhukrishnan Mukundan (Bhavans School) and third place to Apoorva Ramachandran (Bhavans School). In the Junior category Harigovind Sajith (Carmel school) got the second place and Jisha Maria Joseph (United Indian school) got the third place. Harisankar Sajith (Carmel school) and Merin Anna James (Bhavans School) got the second and third places respectively in the Sub junior category. In the Kindergarten category Sreenivasan Srejith (Jabriya Indian school) got the second place and Roohi Sasha Osario (Carmel school) got the third.
‘Rainbow 2016’ trophy was awarded to Bhavans School, which scored the highest number of points in the competition.
Prizes to the winners were given away by the Central Committee members and other senior members of KALA Kuwait.
