Kuwait Kannada Koota celebrated  Karnataka Rajyotsava 2016

Novemeber 4, 2016 goes into the history of Kuwait Kannada Koota (KKK) for celebrating yet another Kannada festival in the form of Karnataka Rajyotsava. This is the joyous festival for all Kannadigas. The Karnataka Rajyotsava was celebrated with great pomp and show in the auditorium of Kuwait College of science and technology, Doha road, Kuwait.

At the auspicious moment, Rajyotsava program started with singing of Kuwait and Indian National anthems which was followed by Karnataka state song. Koota’s president Sri C.A. Prashantha Shetty, chief guest Kalasree Y.K Muddukrishna, guest of honor Kalasree Nagara Srinivas Udupa, event sponsor Good Earth’s Managing Director Mr. Stanley George with the other members of the Executive committee, Vice President Rajesh Vittal PMP, Treasurer Dr. Shashikiran G. Prabhu, Secretary PrabhuAchar with family members of Executive committee declared open the Rajyotsava program by lighting sacred lamp. Cultural Committee convener Smt.Gayatri Ramesh along with co-convener Smt.SpoorthyShenoy Kamath welcomed the guests and the members. The tiny tots of KKK started with offering obescience to Lord Ganesha, remover of obstacles in the form of dance number.

Then there was the cultural extravaganza displayed by our KKK children and the program was aptly named as “Chinnara Loka” exclusively meant for children. They were like stars that descended to the earth making a children’s world and dancing depicting the rich cultural heritage along with themes of values of life that enthralled the audience. The children’s talents were so nicely showcased by our Koota directors like it was like a perfect mix of Milk and honey, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience.

During the stage event, Koota’s president Sri. C.A. Prashantha Shetty in his speech enumerated the activities of the Koota and thanked all the sponsors who helped to make this Rajyotsava program possible. All the sponsors were given a memento as a token of remembrance. To remember the event, a souvenir was released by the chief guest. The “Chigura Balli” team which imparts Kannada tutoring to our children announced their new classes open for Koota and as well as other children interested in learning Kannada. Marala Mallige team released the e-version of Marala Mallige. The invited guests from our Karnataka state Kalasree Y K Muddukrishna & Kalasree Nagara Srinivas Udupa were honored with a shawl and were given mementos as token of remembrance. The chief guest Kalasree Y K Muddukrishna was enamored by the hospitality of the Koota and was all praise for the children of the Koota whose cultural display was comparable any international standard. There was a raffle draw conducted and various valuable prizes were given away.

After the stage event the finale was a value based theme dance cum skit “Sainikarige Salam” which arrived like a lightening on the stage. All those brave soldiers who laid down their life for the country were very well depicted and earned the standing ovation from the audience. The Cultural committee convener Mrs.Gayatri Ramesh and co-convener Mrs. SpoorthyShenoy Kamathhad very well directed the entire Rajyotsava Program. Dr.Azad Ismail Saheb, Sri. TharendraShettigar, Dr.Preeti Shetty and Sri. Vasuki helped in running the program smoothly. General secretary Mr. Prabhu Achar proposed vote of thanks.

The lighting for the program was beautifully done by Zain Events. Photography and Videography was captured by Mr. Thomas and group. The Executive committee’s clear vision, Cultural Committee’s untiring efforts, Public Relations attractive welcome decorations, technical committee’s complete control of stage sound system, sports committee and Marala Mallige’s release of e-version Souvenir and the complete support of all these groups brought out an excellent cultural extravaganza which was a cynosure to all eyes. Everybody were treated to a sumptuous dinner after the program.
