Kuwait based social activist Mr. Pukalendran @ Pukal, has been recognized by the International Tamil University, Maryland, USA. The university has conferred the title of “Doctorate of Letters” award to him for his contribution towards the Community services.

The Doctorate was conferred to Mr. Pukal by the Founder and chancellor of the World Tamil University Mr. Selvin Kumar at a function held recently on 19th November 2016, at Madurai.

Mr. Pugal is currently working in Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) and he has been doing the social services for the past 25 years. He was actively involved in the social activities; served as Vice President for Indian Frontliners and also associated with the associations like KTS, Nandhavanam etc.

He has been tendering help to lot of needy people here in Kuwait as well as in India in the form of Educational support, Medical Help, Marriage fund etc.

He feels that his wife Mrs. Rajameenakshi is behind all his success and they have two children both are doctors by qualification. His Daughter Dr. Monica is currently doing her Master degree in USA and his son Dr. Vigneswaran has also completed his degree and currently doing internship in Ramachandra Medical College.
