The Blessed God’s Own Country- India

The cultural demonstrations of India has been a noticeable one! Different traditional aspects of India has made it a rich one. Most of us migrate from our country to different places in search of jobs, higher education and literally, to be a “backpacker”!

As a student, I mostly travel to India for vacations. I would love to peep out of the car window and look at the beauty of villages, the crowd gathered at omnipresent tea stalls, etc. I was born in Kuwait, but I loved India mostly! By even taking an overall view of India, our minds would capture a lot of vibrant colours.

India is culturally a diverse country. It is a home for many people with different lifestyles. Let’s look at the broad view of our country. We would realize that there was a time when there used to be a festival every day of the year, because a festival is a tool to bring life to a state of exuberance and enthusiasm. Just imagine about 365 festivals in a year!

Our country represents the sole life of many freedom fighters. Great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Lala Rajpat Rai, Mangal Pandey, Ram Manohar Lohia, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad etc... made India as a great united nation. The freedom that we enjoy today cannot be defined! For instance, we never dare to walk out of our flat without civil-id in Kuwait, but in India we never used to be like that.

As a student, I was a kid of adventures. Whenever I come to my hometown in India, I love to travel around in KSRTC buses and rickshaws rather than going in cars. I mostly travel to my hometown at June-July season- The season of Rain. I would love to see the sky turning tar-black and the homely “tuck-tuck” sound moving towards my ears. People running for a cover, some people opening the umbrellas and the seasonal floods caused in the roads.

It’s the little things that count for me which I would love to experience all the days of my life and to fall in love with it. It’s the little everyday things, everyday sights, sounds and smell that leave a lasting impression and keep me turning to this incredible country again and again!
