Decision to close files of employers who committed major violations

Sunday, November 13, 2016

Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) Abdullah Al-Metawtah recently issued a decision to close files of employers who committed major violations and take action against them, reports Al-Shahed daily.

In a press statement, Al-Metawtah disclosed these files will be put under certain codes such as 31, 32, 72, 331, 332, 231, 233 and 131 — indicating all transactions will be suspended except the final cancellation of residency permits when expatriate workers leave Kuwait for good.

He said the employers whose files are under code 71 will not be allowed to process any transaction while those under code 73 will not be allowed to hire new workers or

renew work permits.

He added those under code 74 will not be allowed to add new files and those under code 333 will not be allowed to process transactions except the transfer of residency and final cancellation of residency for workers leaving Kuwait permanently.

He went on to say that files under code 234 will not be permitted to process transactions except the renewal of residency permit, transfer to another sponsor and final cancellation of residency permit if a worker decides to return to his home country for good.
