Discussion on demographic balancing of expatriates  after parliament election - Social Affairs and Labour Undersecretary

More detail about demographic balancing of expatriate staff will be discussed after the parliamentary election in Kuwait, said Dr. Matar Al Mutairi, Under Secretary of Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour. He was speaking to IndiansinKuwait.com on the side lines of 49th Engineer’s day by Institute of Engineers India, Kuwait Chapter.

There was reports earlier saying that Kuwait is planning to regulate the entry of expatriate workers through a new system that sets specific quotas for every expatriate community in the state to address the demographic imbalance in a country where approximately two thirds of the population are foreigners.

Kuwait Government has constituted separate committee to look after the various engineering degree certificates issued from India. We regularly update our list of Indian universities with ABET accreditation list, Dr Mutairi said. "I personally visited number of Universities in India including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Kerala", Dr Mutairi said to IndiansinKuwait.com

Later he inaugurated the 49th Engineer’s day organised by Indian Institute of Engineers Kuwait Chapter at the prestigious Arab Organisations Head Quarters at Shuwaikh. Deputy Chief of Mission at Indian Embassy Sri Subhashish Goldar also attended the event. IEI Kuwait Chapter president Dr Abdul Razaak Rumane, Secretary Sri Rishinath Jain, Engr. Ahmad A. Al Mershed under Secretary, Ministry of State National Assembly also spoke during the event.
