According to the latest statistics issued by the Information System Center at the Ministry of Interior, the total number of expatriates in Kuwait reached 1,627,808.
According to the report; 108,000 of these expatriates are working in the public sector while 1,352,000 are working in the private sector. Also, the number of expatriates on domestic labor visa totaled 665,000 and 541,000 are on family visit visa.
The number of those banned from traveling reached 144,325 – 23,610 Kuwaitis; 113,236 expatriates and 3,134 Gulf citizens.
On the driving licenses, the statistics revealed that driving licenses were issued to 1,147,876 people – 567,000 Kuwaitis; 655,000 expatriates; 20,000 Gulf nationals and 34,000 Bedouns.
