Health Insurance for expatriates to become 130 KD by next year

Wednesday, October 19, 2016

Health Insurance Hospitals Company to provide exclusive 'Dhaman' service for expatriates working in the private sector by next year. The implementation of this health insurance for expatriates will lead to increase in health insurance charges from the current cost of KD 50 per year to KD 130. However the cost does not reflect the actual cost of the health services to be offered to expatriates.

The ‘DHAMAN’ project will be carried out in two phases; the first phase will begin during the first quarter of 2017 in primary healthcare centers and the second phase will begin by end of 2019. The total number of expatriates who will benefit from this project will be about 2 million excluding those categorized as housemaids, local media reported quoting Board member and Chief Executive Officer of Health Insurance Hospitals Company Dr Ahmad AlSaleh.

1st of all that 50KD all the expat are paying at present it is really haram bcoz none of the expat do not get the benefits from it. But it is extra income for Kuwait Govt.

If it is going to increase more than 100% then it will be double haram....hahaha....Hope GOD is watching from above how the justice is done for Expat so that one day GOD could do the Pure justice.

However this way Expat will start leaving Kuwait for sure. There is no more attraction in Kuwait Salary or income.

May GOD guide people how to respect humanity and care for Humanity.

Bad News for Kuwaiti businessmen as it will be indirect taxes. Hope they make it mandatory for sponsors to pay for the medical insurance. Inflation will be on the rise and bad news for illegal free visa expatriates.

Hope all understand

The service provided to expatriates by the doctors in Clinics and small centres is very worse. Usually, the doctor doesn't take more than 30-45 SECONDS for a patient! The doctors don't even have the patience to listen to the patients' symptoms and problems! Of course, the doctors are unduly overloaded. I sincerely hope that concerned authorities look into it in order to provide a reasonably good treatment to expatriates.

They should make another reimbersement rule also. Those who didnot take or avail the facility @ once in a whole year should be reimbersed full amount at the end of the period.

130 its too much.
