Foreigners pay bribe to get job in Kuwait!

Tuesday, October 18, 2016

75 percent of Arabs and other foreigners who desire to work abroad would pay bribes to concerned officials in their home countries in order to get jobs in Kuwait rather than other countries, local Arabic news paper Al-Shahed daily reported.

In its report, daily added the preference expatriates have for Kuwait over other countries is due to benefits employees receive, including better salaries and discounted services.

They pointed out that expatriates do not think of leaving Kuwait, even with the reduction of allowances and other benefits, indicating expatriates working in the UAE and Saudi Arabia try every means possible to be transferred to Kuwait where life is easier and services are cheap, especially medical care and education.

What Goa Joseph is saying is 100% true, not only that most Malayalis have very bad attitudetowards other state people, most behaving like separate nationality. Please open Malayalam news channels or magazines 24hours they magnify and blast hate news against nearby Tamil nadu state people. While no one had such a bad attitude.

When you know they pay bribes to Kuwaities why don't you arrest Kuwaities who are taking money and giving them work permits.

Partiallly the article is true to a great extent. Lot of lower category employees pay to the agencies in India to get a overseas appointment since the travel agencies are having clients in Middle east looking for recruiting people from India.

Do not believe people in other parts of Middle East are desperately trying to shift to Kuwait. Definitely, personally enjoy working in Kuwait and doesn't mean if we get better opportunity in other parts of middle east, will be taking it.

At the end of the day, any place is better or good based on the kind of job satisfaction in terms of work / salary.

Even if you are put in heaven and without decent salary, will be of no use.

I agree with the arab newspaper... to be frank if the ministry conducts a random history and placement check on all the nurses (male & female) it can easily found that they have given money and got their asses here in Kuwait.& these male nurses ..... god somebody just kick those losers out of kuwait...... they gave money and got in kuwait that doesnt mean they damn own kuwait ... such a freakin menace...... and beacause of these losers the rents are just sky rocketing........and these dumbasses dont know how to drive and cause blocks also

Keep dreaming & bluffing authorities..
The rating of kuwait as the worst expat destination consecutively for the past 3 years by multiple survey agencies proves your point is totally baseless..
this was a poor and pathetic attempt to prove ur importance.. sad to say, but the charm of kuwait is gone.. thanks to u authorities.. almost all the qualified expats i know and myself are trying to move out of kuwait.. the amount of racism, discrimination, arrogance, ill treatment, injustice, crimes, terrorism etc are increasing at an alarming rate and the authorities are still trying to cover their inefficiency by blaming expats on everything..
and fyi..i keep travelling frequently around GCC nations.. and average standard of living of expats in kuwait is worse than all GCC countries..
this was a poor and pathetic attempt to prove ur importance. shame on u authorities !!

Question is pay bribes to whom to come to Kuwait? How does a bribe paying individual know life is good in kuwait? unless hearsay from the ones in Kuwait. Anyhow, people from developing country are desperate to get out to any other country in hope that life is better out there (Grass being greener on other side illusion). Kuwait is as expensive as any other country minus the decent treatment of south asian humanbeings minus the picturesque landscape and harsh weather. This news looks like a small casual survey done by an amateur journalist to fill in news space.

I think this article is wrong.....at least 25 people, who I know personally , in the last two years left Kuwait to move Dubai,Abu Dabhi, Saudi, Canada and Bahrain.

I think it is unfair to say that Kuwait is better place to live than other gulf countries. Life is very expensive ,house rents are sky rocketing in Kuwait.Half of the salary is gone for paying rents and iqamas .Saudi Arabia pay more allowances than any other gulf country.

First of all I really don't understand
How the writer concluded that 75% of expats pay bribe to get the job.
Secondly who says that the life in kuwait is far better than any other country.
Have seen the horrible life of expats living in a partition or sharing accommodation. Is the ministry aware of this conditions of expats or not.
This is happening because of high rents.
What is the use of working hard with dedication and sincerity when you end paying most of your salary in accommodation and that horrible expensive and stale food in Indian restaurants, which is not scrutinised or checked by the municipality or health drpartments. At the end of the day you are spending most of your income in Kuwait,
Life may be good for expats in good positions and with good salary and benefits.
But not for the majority whether they are skilled or unskilled labours.
Kuwait is one of the richest countries in the world.but pls see the infrastructure of the country as compared to Dubai or Singapore.
thirdly who told this writer that expats are living a better life as compared to UAE.
Living in a partition room where 15 people share one flat with 2 bathrooms. Filthy facikities given to expats by Kuwait.
Kuwait must understand that they need employees to develop and run their country so in return give good and standard life to the expats.Do not exploit them. KUWAITIS are citizens so definitely they will get all the power , facilities and Benefits . But what about the expats , are they disposable you mean.
The dominating behaviour of Kuwaitis should come to an end and its high time they accept that their country cannot run without expats irrespective of nationality , cast , creed and culture.

So who is facing Problem about this situation?
The Kuwaiti who get bribes?
The Foreigners who get work?
The Media, who are mostly expats and out of jealousy, who does not want to share the bounty of Kuwait with other people in need?

I personally believe that Kuwaitis do not have any problem with people coming to kuwait. Perhaps the are so open hearted that they provide free medicals and good working conditions to people living in Kuwait as compared to Home country.
However, there are expats as well who do not want other people to come to Kuwait, so hence they publish such reports so that Kuwaiti people see them and amend laws.

Therfore, the law chances every day.
